LITORAL

One of the early pioneers of Chile’s renowned cool-climate Leyda Valley, Vicente Izquierdo-Menendez founded Vina Litoral in 1999 by planting a humble 45 acres in this windy, granite-based site located just five miles from the Pacific Ocean.

Plantings here have grown to 345 acres over the past decade, with a focus on Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. In addition to producing wine, Vina Litoral sells its grapes to a handful of top-flight producers – Wines made from Litoral Vineyard sourced Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are some of the most sought-after, highest scoring cool climate wines in Chile year after year.

The Viña Ventolera ‘Litoral’ Pinot Noir displays intense aromas of cherries and ripe plums which combine with notes of sweet spice and a touch of white truffles. A linear, vibrant Pinot Noir delivers ripe wild berried fruits and raspberry notes which are pure and fleshy. Supple and beautifully balanced through to a mineral finish.
